Divine Love supplies all our needs

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“And when they had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them, and the two fishes divided he among them all.”
And they did all eat and were filled.” (Mark 6:41,42)

In the recent booklet “Praying and Watching To Bless All Children” I came across the watch for June 22nd, 2017 where a quote from an address by Martha Wilcox was used that is very appropriate to this account of feeding the 5 thousand. The quote reads “Jesus did not go anywhere to get the loaves and fishes. He turned at once to his own Mind for his needed supply. Jesus knew that the loaves and fishes were purely mental; they were thought forms, or forms of thought. He knew that each individual consciousness already included loaves and fishes and all other good, as well.”

To paraphrase a quote also in that watch from WPA page 119, “(Divine Love) gives to each and every one of His children abundantly all they need,…”

Thank you for this inspiring lesson on the power of Divine Love.
