That night I dreamed or saw it, I don’t know which, but I could see plenty of water coming out of the little gravel hill. I was so sure of it. Walter thought I had gone crazy, but I knew God told me, and if Moses could get water out of a rock in the wilderness, He surely could give it to us out of a gravel pit. Walter dug and I helped him. At ten feet we got some water, made our curbing and dug on sixteen feet. We got eight feet of water, all we need for ourselves and we are giving some to our neighbors for house use. I know it was what we learned about God’s love for us in the reading matter you sent that did the work, and please send us more.”
This is just one illustration of how an inkling of Truth operative in human consciousness will change the entire picture which our wrong thinking has painted.”
If a drop of living water is so potent, imagine what can happen when we give a whole cup of living water to our neighbors! Mary Baker Eddy says, in Science and Health (page 570), “Millions of unprejudiced minds – simple seekers for Truth, weary wanderers, athirst in the desert – are waiting and watching for rest and drink. Give them a cup of COLD [living] water in Christ’s name, and never fear the consequences.” Plainfield True Christian Science Church is certainly throwing a lot of COLD cups – even GALLONS of Living Truth in our faces to wake us up.
