Christian Scientists must live under the constant pressure of the apostolic command to come out from the material world and be separate.

To live under the constant pressure to come out from the material world and be separate must be the resistance of the “false prophet” to find happiness and satisfaction in matter. As mentioned in the Bible Study for Feb. 25, 2017 some of the descriptions of the false prophet were, a teaching to despise authority, behind one’s actions are all self-serving motives, promising liberty but enslaving one to sin, trained covetousness, whatever appeals to one’s base instincts rather that turning to God for everything, and they will not connect the dots between the sinfulness of a nation to its national calamity.

Pressure-The force of one body acting on another by weight or the continued application of power. A constraining force or impulse; that which urges or compels the intellectual or moral faculties.

Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy. Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine “powers that be.” Such is the true Science of being. Any other theory of Life, or God, is delusive and mythological.

I am so grateful that we are taught in Christian Science that God, Spirit has all power and that to see the unreality of the “false prophets” however and whenever they come to tempt us is making nothing of them and so seeing their powerlessness.
