He knoweth our frame.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Psalms 103: 14 (to ;)”He knoweth our frame;”

This verse kept catching my eye. So I looked it up in a couple of places
1828 Websters Dictionary “3. To make; to compose; 4. To regulate; to adjust; to shape; to conform; as, to frame our lives according to the rules of the gospel. “
Barnes’ Notes on the Bible “For he knoweth our frame – Our formation; of what we are made; how we are made.”

This reminded me of Genesis 1: 26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

When I looked up the whole verse (Psalm 103:14) in the Bible, It read; “For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.”

“he remembereth that we are dust” reminded me of Genesis 2: 6-7 “But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Thus begins the story of the mist or illusion of material creation.

Now I can read this verse: God, knoweth our frame. He made us in His likeness, of Spirit, to have dominion over the earth: he remembereth (and reminds us) that we (in the mist, mystification, illusion of matter or mortal mind) are dust. So then I thought; God “knoweth our frame.” He formed us, we are made in His image and likeness, of Spirit, Soul, of one Mind, not in the illusions of matter, or mortal mind or soul in the material body.

This goes along with Paul in Ephesians 2: 10, 21, 22 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit (Soul).

    Thank you, for this lesson.
