The light of Christ Jesus

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    9. II Corinthians 4 : 1, 3, 4, 6
    1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
    3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
    4
    In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the
    light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
    6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,
    to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
    I realized that I am double minded during the day and that doubt and fear are sins against God. This passage from the Bible is a help to me to remember the Light has shined in my heart …. this is why Christ Jesus came with a sword to save us from double mindedness. With God’s mercy I will faint not!

    Beautifully stated. I realized how the word ‘light’ is so beautiful as used in the Bible in reference of drawing us to Spirit, God. I watch plants, growing towards and seeking light. One crazy squash plant was headed into the woods about 20 feet from it’s original seed and made a U-turn and headed back out of the shade to more light! Also so many animals; dogs, cats, chickens, love to find a sunny spot to ‘be still’ and absorb the sun. It has given me inspiration as I seek a better understanding of God to place myself in His Love and absorb it.
