The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

The qualities of “a culture that values God, unity, and service,” listed above are that which express God and must be represented as any society’s primary culture. Many times the excuse of following “my culture” is used to indulge in materialism. Many of these are gross materialism leading to the worship of idols, personal sense in relationships, unbalanced attention to things other than God; none of which “elevates the race.” God’s culture, one that has divine laws of harmony, health, abundance, compassion, love governing man cannot but elevate the race!

For the most part “the culture excuse” contribute to man’s enslavement. SH 373 The fear of disease and the love of sin are the sources of man’s enslavement.” We can ask ourselves how many of these “cultures” help move us away from fear of disease and love of sin?
