The Spiritual Facts

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    S&H # 8 “To divest thought of false trusts and material evidences in order that the spiritual facts of being may appear, –this is the great attainment by means of which we shall sweep away the false and give place to the true. Thus we may establish in truth the temple, or body, “whose builder and maker is God.” In John Wyndham’s book The Ultimate Freedom, which I heard about at Plainfield, he tells about a physical healing of a very aggressive problem with his arm that the doctor told him would remain useless. He said he used this quote, even stopping along his way to get out of the car to work with it, and eventually he was completely healed. I have found it a very helpful statement to work with after reading how he used it.
