The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you for this important point. The last phrase of the responsive reading, “all his works are done in truth,” took on new meaning for me this week. Since all His works means everything that is real, this means that everything that is real is Truth manifest, a reflection of the laws that always govern the universe. Therefore, anything that is not of God is simply not true, — an illusion, error, a mistake.

This is the basis of Christian healing. The fact that sin, sickness, and death are erroneous beliefs, also means that they have no power, or entity, other than to destroy themselves. Mrs. Eddy says that error comes to us for life, and we give it all the life it has. God does not give life to false beliefs! That is why our honest pursuit of the truth and a just acknowledgement of the truth, as much as we know, is a sure protection against the myriad false beliefs trying to gain entrance to our consciousness.
