The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

When farming in New York state my family was ‘blessed’ with poor land and a short growing season. As we became more established and we joined an organization that came in and measured each cow’s production officially to help us manage our herd more efficiently, it was of interesting note that a large percentage of the top herds in two counties came from this ‘marginal’ (by material viewpoint) region. I always attributed this to the need for greater diligence needed to survive there. Now I realize that attention to detail is an attribute to become more at-one with God and that I have to develop this in my thinking far beyond what I did on the farm because my whole being depends upon God and nothing else:)
