The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you, Mike. This is a good point. This whole idea of man having “free will” is really just an observation that we have choices and are capable of making choices. We can choose to follow our spiritual sense, take the path that seems right and good according to our highest sense of Right, or we can choose to be mesmerized by material appearance, and beliefs of limitation.

We all have a desire to pursue truth, so as to make better choices. Jesus’ entire mission was to teach us the truth about God and ourselves and our relationship with Him, so as to enable us to make better choices. Strange how so many resist the truth, just because we can’t see it with our eyes, or feel it with our hands. It requires a respect for our spiritual sense in order to apprehend “truth.” We all have it, we just need to trust it, respect it, follow it, and be willing to suffer the persecution that the so-called human mind directs at those who choose to follow the true path. And, as you pointed out, the reward for making the right choices is greater than anything money can buy.

Love is the liberator.
