Dwelling in Love

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I John 4:16,17

    16.”And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

    17.”Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

    dwell- to abide as a permanent resident; to have habitation for some time or permanence; to continue; to be fixed in attention.
    boldness- Courage; bravery, fearlessness; freedom from timidity, liberty, confidence; confident trust.

    “Day of Judgement”
    “No final judgment awaits mortals, for the judgment-day of wisdom comes hourly and continually, even the judgment by which mortal man is divested of all material error. As for spiritual error there is none.” (Science And Health With Key To The Scriptures p.291:28-32)

    I do believe that God is Love; and, that as we live in Love we experience Life eternal now. That our judgement day is hourly and that as we listen to God for our direction, we do reflect the Love that God is, and we are happy and complete now. We can have boldness to face any error with the omnipotence and Love of God in whom we dwell now and forever. I know that in every moment of judgement, we have the Love and mercy of God with us to govern, direct and protect us.
    I am so grateful for all of the blessings I have received while being a part of this loving Church!
