The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I am grateful for this powerful Bible Lesson on the heels of Sunday’s Roundtable discussion on finding security.

    “…your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” I Cor. 2

    “Therefore let no man glory in men.” I Cor. 3

    By putting all my trust in man, myself or others, I neglected the things of God not realizing this actually was a lack of means of a true defense. I kept looking for solutions in matter which always seemed illusive or temporary. When I felt I was safe I was actually deluded by a false sense of peace which gave me a false sense of security without God. What a blessing to learning how to correctly apply this Science by obedience to God in practical healing steps, working for God.

    SECURITY: “Protection; effectual defense or safety from danger of any kind; That which guards from danger. Freedom from fear; confidence of safety; Something given or done to secure peace.” (1828 Webster’s)

    “Security for the claims of harmonious and eternal being is found only in divine Science.” Mary Baker Eddy

    Quote from Sunday’s Roundtable – “Security: It does not say occasionally, sometimes, its says, “found only in divine Science” therefore human solutions are not where security is found! (The Only Source of Security)
