Blessed are they

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22: 14 This law of obedience to God is stated from beginning to end in the Bible and in this week’s lesson. We see the progression from the Ten Commandments of Moses to the Blessed Are They of Jesus and John’s Revelation, from the relative to the absolute. In Science and Health (cit. 2) Mrs. Eddy states, “We shall obey and adore in proportion as we apprehend the divine nature and love Him understandingly, warring no more over the corporeality, but rejoicing in the affluence of our God.” Thank you for this lesson.
