The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you for this post. I have been thinking about Daniel and how he had the confidence to turn to God without even knowing the dream that the king was talking about. Daniel expected God to reveal what was necessary for him to know. 1828 Webster says that expectation differs from hope because … “it is founded on some reasons which render the event probable.” Daniel already had a relationship with God and as was stated by another post, he had put off the “old man” of pagan thinking that surrounded him. I am learning that expectation is an important part of prayer because we are already one with God and as His image and likeness naturally receive his Love when we are obedient and open to His goodness. It is done… “so be calm, quiet and patient while waiting for the right answer or result to be revealed to us….” (from Dede’s article in the September 2017 issue of Love is the Liberator).

Love is the liberator.
