The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you, this is a really important point. I find it useful to remember that Jesus is referring to the Christ whenever he says “I” in the Bible. His “light” was divine, not human. It was not a human doctrine or belief that he was trying to get people to understand. Rather, it was his expression of the Father that he was showing as the normal and natural state of man. He was always pointing people to the Father. The human mind, of course, either worshipped or hated him personally, both of which are wrong.
This human so-called “mind” is incapable of understanding this. To follow Christ is to allow only the divine Mind to be my mind, and to judge (test) all things according to that standard. Is it of God or not? Is it God speaking or not? If it is not of God, it is darkness, not light. That’s why it is essential to recognize and appreciate those who set the right example for us and have the love and courage to teach us what they know of God.

Love is the liberator.
