The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“From Barnes Notes on the Bible:
We of this generation will be faithful in handing down these truths to future times. We stand between past generations and the generations to come. We are entrusted by those who have gone before us with great and important truths; truths to be preserved and transmitted in their purity to future ages. That trust committed to us we will faithfully discharge. These truths shall not suffer in passing from us to them. They shall not be stayed in their progress; they shall not be corrupted or impaired.”

Thank you. I’ve printed this out, and will share this with others. What a profound and beautiful statement and how sobering at the same time–a reminder that these truths are not for our own enjoyment (what I thought before coming to Plainfield) but we are to spread the Gospel, as Jesus taught! I love the thought that these truths are entrusted to us, and we have a duty to make sure they are not lost!

Love is the liberator.
