The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Starting on page 64 of Bicknell Young’s book 1937 College, he writes about Soul. This paragraph from page 65 has helped, and continues to help me:

Soul is the spontaneous nature of man, the epitome of natural knowing. Soul is true inspiration. As you advance in the Science of Soul, you will see beauty where you never saw it before. A Christian Scientist attains his dominion in the proportion that he seeks not the image and likeness, but the original. In that original, which is in Principle, Spirit, Soul, resides and shines in full effulgence, all comeliness, originality, receptivity, beauty, and joy.

I am so grateful to be able to see that beauty and feel that joy, at least in small degrees. Studying this Science here, combined with all the church offers and regular practitioner support, has opened my eyes, my heart, and my thought to the wonder of God’s great creation! What a blessing it is to be a member of this church. Thank you!
