A Deeper Meaning

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Over the weekend the meaning of Plainfield was explained, in summary, with the word ‘plain’, described as the idea of being out in the open, with nothing hidden, and ‘field’ describing a place of battle between Truth and error, good and evil.
The following citations speak to what we are learning, in this church, to hold to as we watch and pray:
    13. 329 :
…the deeper the error into which mortal mind is plunged, the more intense the opposition to spirituality, till error yields to Truth.

    17. 23 :
…eventually both sin and suffering will fall at the feet of everlasting Love.

Understanding this better, through my continued study and practice of Science gives me the comfort, courage, and confidence to work more persistently through any challenge in my experience, that of another, or the world, in order to see Truth finally prevail.

I’m learning that this happens in God’s perfect way, at His perfect time.

As the lesson explains, this is inevitable!
