A different way of seeing time.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I just finished watching probably for the 6th or more time the episode in the series The Chosen about the wedding feast that is in the lesson this week. This is the account of Jesus’ first ‘miracle’. In the episode Jesus says to Thomas, just before he is about to perform the miracle of changing water into wine, to join him and Jesus would show him a different way of seeing time. Given the fact that wine needs a lot of time to become wine, its instantaneous appearance and not only that but the very best wine seemed a miracle. So Jesus right away illustrates that time is not measured by minutes and seconds and days. The Truth is instantaneous when clearly seen. And of course, all of Christ Jesus’ healings were instantaneous. He also showed by this ‘miracle’ that matter and its so-called properties of substance is not substance at all and has no authority before the Christ, Truth. So what Christ Jesus was proving by his so-called miracles was that they were not miracles only to be expected by Jesus or else why ask others to follow him and be taught by him. He was expecting them to learn from him and do the same.

“His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man. (S&H 26:17-18)
“His purpose in healing was….to demonstrate his divine Principle.” (S&H 51:19-24)

Every time I demonstrate Truth’s authority over any lie about its omni-presence or omnipotence I am proving the Science of the Christ.

What a wonderful lesson on our wayshower, Christ Jesus.
