The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

    This whole section 5 and 6 of our Lesson this week has given me a lot to ponder and digest. The need to be so alert and guard our minds against the bombardment of advertisement, commercials on TV and constant talk about illness and remedies that seems to permeate the world consciousness. I’m the first one to admit, the hypnotic lure of discussing with co-workers the various aches and ills in order to either compare “notes” or find what had helped them, is very enticing. I have to constantly be on guard not to be led down a path that will not resolve anything but waste time that should be devoted to knowing God and affirming the perfection of man. When I read passages like the ones aforementioned, the core of my being “clicks” in a primordial knowledge that “This has always been so.” God is All and the only existing power. No medication, herb, therapy etc., can overpower His care and love for us. I’m so very grateful for these Lessons, they always have a golden nugget that can be carried in our hearts throughout the day. Thank you
