Benefits

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

In Psalms 103, the Psalmist tells us that with God, there are benefits. It is wonderful to be assured of this. The first benefit is that God forgives our sins; not just iniquities, or small sins, but larger, grosser sins. Then, the other, perhaps most importantly to the human condition, He heals ALL our sicknesses. It matters not what type of sickness it is. It is regardless of what physicians can do, or not do. It is ultimately God alone who can and will cure ALL our infirmities and sicknesses. I was thinking about the plural use of the word “sickness” here. I was thinking it could be mental, physical,or emotional; it could be a combination of more than one illness. It doesn’t matter to God how Big, or small, He is ever present. He is All in all. He is The Great Physician and Surgeon who Loves and heals us of all our sins and sicknesses. What an awesome God!
