Disease is a very good liar

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

    This morning I heard God tell me very clearly that disease is a very good liar. For a very long time, so many claims of disease have presented themselves to me as reality. I have been working and praying for healing of all these conditions. Throughout this time, relief has come and I have progressed in my understanding but the error has not yet been destroyed.

    I have always used the term “demonstration” when speaking about the tangible proof of Christian Science and struggle with why my “demonstrations” are slow coming and not very good. I recently read that true understanding always results in the demonstration of good over evil. My “demonstrations” are slow and not very good because I do not yet truly understand. This is much different than wondering what am I doing wrong. I am doing nothing wrong for I do not heal…God, Divine Mind, Divine Love heals.

    As my understanding of and obedience to God’s laws increase, disease’s ability to lie to me will decrease. Once disease is no longer able to lie to me, when I no longer accept it as truth or reality, it will pass away, disappear and be gone!!!

    Continually grateful for God’s love, patience and tender care for us all!!!
