Exterminator of Error Roundtable 2/25/18

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you for the guidance shared in last week’s Roundtable on exterminating error. It was helpful to remember that to exterminate is to completely destroy, with no chance of return. And to stand porter at the gate of thought. Funny how something that seems so real (error) has no power of itself only the life I breathe into it (guilt/fear/doubt) by not dealing with the strongman. Reminds me of the Staypuff Marshmallow Giant in Ghost Busters that appeared to be so menacing, looming above the skyscrapers in the city. A tiny pin prick would release all that hot air. Psst.. Flat and lifeless, nothing to fear. TRUTH is that little pin prick that dissolves the looming imagination of any mortal fear. What joy to know that God is all in all. “There is no spot where God is not.”

Thank you, too, for the the remedy for handling gossip. Think the “The Lord saith…” before beginning to speak. So many pearls were shared. The entire discussion was just what I needed to hear this morning. I would also like to express gratitude for the Forum Highlights and Newsletter that came in the mail last week. Reading them both, I felt such peace from your healing words.

    Joyful blessings,
    Rae
