“Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.” I Chronicles 29 : 11-13
“Strength: Firmness; vigor; power of resisting attacks; support; security; confidence. Power of mind; intellectual force; the power of any faculty; as strength of memory; strength of reason; strength of judgment. Spirit; animation. Soundness; vehemence; fortification; fortress; maintenance of power.” Webster’s 1828 Dictionary
There have been many discussions during the classes regarding God as the source of our strength (just recently our December 11th, 2021 Bible study). This lesson gave me a greater awareness of the fullness of this promise of strength that is for all. What a wonderful grace that God gives us strength for facing difficult tasks, under temptations, to stand down evil and fear, to do the right thing, for patience, to keep going when persistence is needed, to speak the truth, anything we need strength for!
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” Philippians 4:13 Amplified Bible – shared in teaching testimony and during Roundtable.
