Giving Mortal Mind Power

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage.     This morning I was thinking about some work that I am going to have done and I thought, well, I’ll be able to tell if they do a good job if this and that are done. It hit me!! Why are you thinking negatively!! Know that the work will be completed correctly because God is governing all and is the only power. What a shift in my attitude. I was giving the error, mortal mind, power. I’m beginning to understand what it means that I alone give error power and life.

    God has revealed to me, a number of ways in which I am allowing my thoughts to be controlled by mortal mind. I thought I was working to overcome these thoughts but again realized, the more I think about the ways that mortal mind is trying to keep me from my relationship to God, the more power I am giving it!! I AM allowing mortal mind to keep me from God.

    10 affirmations to 1 denial is the way to be free!! I would appreciate knowing where Mrs. Eddy writes about 10 affirmations to 1 denial. (Thanks for your help!)

    So happy to be moving onward and upward!!
