God has a purpose for each one of his children.

Thank you for this mornings’s Bible Study (4/11/2020). Much appreciated the discussion about how each one of us has an individual purpose given to us by God. Working for God in this church, The Plainfield Christian Science Church, Independent, has given me that sense of purpose. I was reminded of the 3rd verse found in Hymn 176, which says:

“Let there be light, the Word shines forth,
Lo, where the new morning whitens;
O church of God, with Book unsealed,
How its page beacons and brightens.
Living stones we, each in his place,
May we be worthy such a grace,
While Truth the wide earth enlightens.”

I particularly love the line that says,”Living stones we, each in his place, May we be worthy such a grace”
May I be worthy of, grateful for, and steadfast in “such a grace.”

I also would like to express my gratitude for the Bible Study today and all of the Saturday mornings we can get together and discuss the Bible. The Bible has become to me such a treasure. Mrs. Eddy says in Miscellaneous Writings on page 363 “The Bible is the learned man’s masterpiece, the ignorant man’s dictionary, the wise man’s directory.” I learn so much from these Bible Studies and am so grateful to all those members who are involved in putting these together. I feel like I am back in Sunday School every two weeks and I love it!!
