God our source and Condition

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    8. 180 : 25-2
    When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible. The only way to this living Truth, which heals the sick, is found in the Science of divine Mind as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.

    To reduce inflammation, dissolve a tumor, or cure organic disease, I have found divine Truth more potent than all lower remedies. And why not, since Mind, God, is the source and condition of all existence?

    I was given this citation by my practitioner to work with this week. In Webster’s 1828 Dictionary it says in part about condition:, ” State; a particular mode of being: Quality, attribute, State of mind, Terms of a contract or covenant.
    And Source: First cause; original, that which gives rise to any thing. the first producer; he or that which originates;.
    This is a lot to think about. In my heart I feel God Good is my (and our) source and condition and I must strive to live this every day for myself and all mankind.

    This phrase the source and condition of all existence, stood out strongly from this Lesson. If so then the obedience to God all, and man having nothing unlike God makes perfect sense and is our saviour.
