God’s remedy.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    “God being All-in-all, He made medicine; but that medicine was Mind. It could not have been matter, which departs from the nature and character of Mind, God. Truth is God’s remedy for error of every kind, and Truth destroys only what is untrue. Hence the fact that, to-day, as yesterday, Christ casts out evils and heals the sick.” Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, page 142

    “Remedy: That which cures a disease; application which restores health; with for; that which counteracts an evil of any kind; that which cures uneasiness; that which repairs loss or disaster; to remove mischief; something that corrects; to recover a right; to relieve.” Webster’s 1828

    This week’s lesson is a wonderful treatment. What a powerful thought that, “Truth is God’s remedy for error of every kind”! Truth cures, restores, repairs, removes, recovers, corrects by turning, “…their thoughts away from their bodies to higher objects.”

    I also like the part where Mrs. Eddy says: “When the Science of being is universally understood, every man will be his own physician, and Truth will be the universal panacea. Science and Health page 144

    All only knows All. God knows not it could be possible not to know Him. The temptation is to dream up a reality besides All.
    Jesus nailed that temptation to the cross.
