Golden Text

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer,” (Psalms 19:14)

I searched for a definition of the word redeemer and jotted some brief notes in my lesson. I found them very helpful. biblestudytools.com/redeemer/redemption

-deliverer from all evil, sin, guilt, anything that binds man or lets him down.
-brings men to their fullest use
    -relieves man from selfishness
-brings men to largest and fullest life, made men like Christ. “Ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.” (John 15:3) The disciples are cleansed as a vineyard by pruning away branches so others can bare fruit.
-redemption is a method of Christ, redeeming love of God
-redemption continues till every man is brought into the kingdom
