Gratitude for Sunday Service 9/20

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you for that beautiful rendition of “Amazing Grace” this morning. I’ve always loved that Hymn and it was wonderful to hear such a fresh and heartfelt version of it. Also, thank you for this morning’s Roundtable and the important lessons on gratitude. Gratitude is certainly riches, and you, at Plainfield Church, have certainly made us rich!

Yes, thank you for the beautiful service and all the organ music. Amazing Grace is a favorite–very uplifting performance. Also thank you for the Roundtable on gratitude and praise, and a better understanding of the Bible lesson on Ahab and Jezebel. I looked up the wonderful quote from Miscellany, p. 195 that was shared at the meeting…so thankful for the inspiration:

“We must resign with good grace what we are denied, and press on with what we are, for we cannot do more than we are nor understand what is not ripening in us. To do good to all because we love all, and to use in God’s service the one talent that we all have, is our only means of adding to that talent and the best way to silence a deep discontent with our shortcomings.”

Thanks again for all the services you provide to attune us to the kingdom of heaven, that is right here and right now in every moment, if we choose to embrace it in Love.
