Happiness

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul.

    I’ve read this so many times, but never really stopped to think about it more deeply.

    Soul being God, my happiness is secure when I seek to know my true identity as a child of God, through spiritual sense. I am the expression of God’s being–as are all His children. I can ask myself every day, “How can I express you better, dear God? Show me the way today… “I will listen for thy voice… lest my footsteps stray” (from MBE’s hymn starting “Shepherd show me how to go.”)

    There are many things that can make us happy… but those secure in our keeping, that’s really what we hold in our heart. Thank God for Christ Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy for giving to us the secret to happiness–that “secret place of the Most High” that we can access any time!
