He created it not in vain

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established (to settle or fix what is wavering, doubtful or weak; to settle permanently) it, He created it not in vain (empty; worthless; having no substance, value or importance; fruitless), He formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.” (Isaiah 45) I have been working with this verse, knowing it to be the Truth about all of God’s creation. God created everyone and everything for a divine purpose. No one is left out of His kingdom, a kingdom of joy, peace and fulfillment. The belief that there are those without employment, without hope, without health etc., those who are homeless, or on drugs – is simply not the truth about God’s creation. We can know in that very place where these conditions seem to be – is the very presence and power of God declaring, “I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways.” God’s voice is thundering and His creation hears Him and is blessed. Nothing is impossible to Him, our loving Father-Mother God.

    This Truth is needed the world over, since it is the false and wicked sense of being separated from God, unworthy, and all the self depreciating thoughts that come that can and does keep many in bondage of a false heritage. This Truth plus the teachings of the Bible correctly explained and made practical through Science and Health’s message will change much.
