I am Ruth. I am Naomi.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you to the Lesson writer.

I saw that, I was Ruth when I left the land/teaching of my mother which told me life is in matter, and travelled to the far-away land of Christian Science where I was taught to leave the belief of birth into matter.

And then, I was Ruth again (as are so many other Plainfield members and adherents) when I left the land-thought-branch church of my nativity… my beloved birthplace in Christian Science.

That which I thought was true spiritual husband-Truth support to me slowly died in the branch. And I wept mentally, not knowing what to do about the loss of that which I held so dear – the vibrancy of Truth.

And I am Ruth again, leaving the Mother-Church to travel with the leadership of my Mother-God to the deeper meaning of the Truth of God’s allness and mortal mind’s nothingness, found at Plainfield, that I was previously stranger to.

I must take the counsel to not go to glean in another field of thought, but abide here fast by the Lord’s maidens (those who work with youthful vigour and spiritual passion), in the field where they reap – work, glean and heal.

GLEAN: draw • derive • extract (separate Truth from error)• cull • garner • gather • reap • select (the True)• choose • pick • learn • find out, bring in • take in • reap •

The Naomi in me heard that there was the bread – Truth that sustains in the far homeland of Plainfield’s instruction. It is not flatbread. It has yeast. It rises.
