"I will make mention of thy righteousness"

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

In the Golden Text, Psalm 71:16: I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.”

I love that David in his old age is encouraging others that they may find inspiration. Matthew Henry says that in this passage, “Never was his hope more established”.

When I read this, “I will make mention of thy righteousness”, I hear the call to spread the word about the healing power of God, to encourage others. I’m finding that the more I share, the more I have occasions to share, and I’m so grateful for this.

    How beautiful are the Psalms!

And how wonderful to live our lives in a way that our lives will tell the truth about His righteousness. Thus we are given many occasions to share this awesome way of life. I am grateful to learn and understand more and more of what Christ Jesus taught and Mrs. Eddy explained further; a way to live doing the best one can to have God in all we do.
