"In the beginning was the Word…"

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

St. John says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Eustace says in his book page 402 on the bottom numbering, “The metaphysician’s conversation is in heaven. He insists upon finding every word to be of heavenly origin, in spite of any distorted meaning. His first and essential duty is to translate every word back to its origin which is God.” This tells me that everything that appears outside of myself, person, place or thing, must be another name for God despite how it is appearing, pleasing or not so pleasing. Therefore it is not out there somewhere but here with God and is God and God knows all there is to know about it and is all the substance to it. Eustace again says, “…whether good appears positively or negatively, the metaphysician, like Jesus knows he is dealing with God.” That assures me that all power is with God and is God and all I need to know about anything is what God says about it.

Three words tell us what IS: I AM ALL. Infinite All meaning if not good it is the counterfeit appearing of what is.

    GOD IS EVIL IS NOT
God is All; there is no evil.
All is harmony; there is no discord.
All is health; there is no sickness.
All is Spirit; there is no matter.
All is joy; there is no sorrow.
All is Truth; there is no falsehood.
All is faith; there is no fear.
All is Life; there is no death.
All is Love; there is no hate. Bluebook pg. 282

Thanks for your post, wonderful reminder!!
