It’s Not Worth It

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I read a wonderful article this morning. “It’s Not Worth It” which can be found on page 90 of Sermons and Articles on Christian Science by Doris White Evans. https://downloads.plainfieldcs.com/Library/Sermons%20and%20Articles%20by%20Doris%20Evans.pdf

    Some excerpts from the article follow:

    “No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good, is supreme.”(Mis. Wr. p 277)

    Don’t be disturbed. It’s not worth it.

    The intent of error is always to disrupt, and disturb man’s thinking so that he forgets that “God, good, is supreme.”

    “A calm, Christian State of Mind.” (Mis. Wr. p 229) is the pure preventative against trouble of any sort.

    Know this too shall pass.

    Truly, error never was worth it!

    I am so grateful to be putting this into practice!!
