Jesus loved little children.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Jesus loved little children because of their freedom from wrong and their receptiveness of right. While age is halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs, youth makes easy and rapid strides towards Truth.” Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, page 236

Addressing strongholds came up during the Sunday Roundtable for October 3rd, 2021.

“STRONG-HOLD: A fortified place; a place of security.” Websters 1828 Dictionary

Something that is considered entrenched. The line, “halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs” sounds like an example of “stronghold” thinking. The cure is to become as little children, “freedom from wrong and their receptiveness of right.”
“Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18

What gratitude we owe Mary Baker Eddy for providing the Science of Christ and how to live it which is the only answer to strongholds and their prevention.
