The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    My inspiration is not always exactly on topic, but in a way, I hope it is. I looked over the streets, the many houses, and I realized that most likely in each of those houses prescription medicines were used, and many pills of all kind were being swallowed, day after day, year after year. The hypnotic thralldom of all this hit me and overwhelmed me, the whole world trusted only on matter and believed in matter and evil as the only substance and reality. It was like they all shouted in unison: Yes, we know we are but matter, and matter is all there is. Matter, protoplasma, caused us, and when this material body ceases to function, we will cease to exist.

    For a moment I got this sense of a sad, disappointed and even tearful God, Love so rejected, Good so scorned and disbelieved. It was the mission of Jesus to demonstrate God’s truth, and the unreality and powerlessness of anything else. Thank you, Jesus.
