Joseph ready

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I love that Joseph, called “hastily out of the dungeon”, when Pharoah learned he could interpret dreams, was ready. He had been willingly serving as needed, wherever he found himself, in whatever circumstance, with wholehearted trust in God, capably, with trustworthiness and wisdom and was well prepared for the new unexpected assignment.

As a mortal yes he was calling Joseph the man forward, but as an allegory based on Mrs Eddys Glossary, he was bringing forth the higher calling, the higher sense of truth and Love, the real and beautiful. We too can call”Joseph” forward in our hour of need. Whats interesting to me is that he called him forth from a dungeon, most likely because thats where his thoughts were, low. When the Christ message first appeared to humanity, it was in a stable. The Christ idea is not dropped from the sky like some christians believe, it starts with realising, its here now and ever present

“JOSEPH. A corporeal mortal; a higher sense of Truth rebuking mortal belief, or error, and showing the immortality and supremacy of Truth; pure affection blessing its enemies.”
