Let Go of The Past

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I continue to work to silence error’s claim of physical maladies for myself and other family members. I have been working with the following:
“To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings.” Science and Health PAGE vii: 1-2
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” Proverbs 3:5
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14
The Divine Truth that my life is Spirit and Mrs. Eddy’s “Special Work” watch on pages 106-108 from Watches, Prayers and Arguments.

During my prayerful work, I made a list of error’s claims, to know that these are not true; lame, over weight, arthritic, allergic, blind, stubborn, self-centered. I then made a list of Truths; image and likeness of God, harmonious, perfect NOW!! To my surprise God told me to add to the list of error’s claims, let go of the past and add to the list of Truths, governed by one Mind. That was the ticket and brought me much peace and relief. I have been holding on to what used to bring me joy, what I used to do and what were my daily activities. I need to let go of these and know that God is my purpose, allow me to be open to what He has in store for me now, know that all that comes from Him is good, fulfilling and that He will provide me the ability to complete all that He wants me to do.

    So grateful for Pslams 121.

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber.
4 Behold, the Protector of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is the shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul.
8 The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.
