Life can never be erased!

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Man is not the offspring of flesh, but of Spirit, — of Life, not of matter. Because Life is God, Life must be eternal, self-existent. Life is the everlasting I AM, the Being who was and is and shall be, whom nothing can erase.” ( Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy pg.289-90:32-2)

“The illusion of material sense, not divine law, has bound you, entangled your free limbs, crippled your capacities, enfeebled your body, and defaced the tablet of your being.” (Science and Health pg.227:26-29)

“The decaying flower, the blighted bud, the gnarled oak, the ferocious beast, — like the discords of disease, sin, and death, — are unnatural. They are the falsities of sense, the changing deflections of mortal mind; they are not the eternal realities of Mind.” (Science and Health pg.78:1-5)

A suppositional mortal mind presents false, limited images to our thought that never touch our real bodies or being. For, our real body is the reflection of all right spiritual ideas created by Mind. The symbols imaged forth by mortal mind on the tablet of our being are the inverted images of God’s eternal, real ideas. When I stop to examine and think about the images presented to my thought and translate them back to God’s spiritual ideas, I see correctly the right ideas or Truth. I am learning to stop and slow down and not accept the outward picture of things but, to translate these images back to Soul, the creative force behind all things real.
I am so grateful to this Church for all that I am learning here!

Thank you! This is what I strive for every day. I say to myself often…. your are not mortal , you are spiritual!
