Love of the Christ, Truth

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I heard a story once of a woman who was giving a big party and she was inviting all of her many friends to come. As the guests were mingling it was clear that they didn’t know each other very well, and if they did know one another, they were of very different mindsets, different ends of the spectrum in religious beliefs, backgrounds and political affiliations. Surprisingly, they all got along beautifully that evening and they wondered how this could be. Then, they realized that what they had in common was the love of their host. And because their love for her was far greater than their differences, they were able to put their differences aside.
    Love of the Christ, Truth eclipses the personal.
