Mary Baker Eddy’s passing and ascension witnessed

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I’m so very grateful for the Roundtable on October 30th which shared from the book The Healer by David L. Keyston – relating the telling of a recollection of Adelaide Still as told to her sister … (Ms. Still being one of three witnesses present at the time of Mary Baker Eddy’s passing and ascension in December 1910.)

    I had never heard of that recollection from the Boston organization, and it would appear from the one who related the event in the Keyson book, that there was resistance by the Boston Organization to the disclosure of Mary Baker Eddy’s ascension.

    And this was an epic demonstration!! Such Leadership!

    How many others can we count who have ascended? Enoch, Melchizedek, Elijah, Jesus, Mary Baker Eddy. So far, I’ve only used up five fingers on one hand to count them. Perhaps there were others in history that I am unaware of or who left no record? But I doubt that, and even if that were so, I likely would not have to use up all 10 fingers to count everyone. Only five ascensions confirmed that I now know of.

    I’m so grateful for my membership in the Plainfield Christian Science Church Independent for exposing us to many early Christian Science workers’ inspiring insights.
