Might and joy

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Might and joy
“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy.” Zepheniah 3:17 What a safety to be filled by God’s love and might and to know that this is what God has for each of us where-ever we are. “He will rejoice over thee with joy” is so comforting. “In divine Science, man is sustained by God, the divine Principle of being.” S&H 530:5-6 God is the only power. Know it.

This was the exact same verse that I had planned to write about!! Isn’t this promise from God a beautiful thing! It is the knowing that was mentioned that can be difficult sometimes, but being part of Plainfield has certainly helped me with this issue. EVERYTHING at Plainfield keeps us in the “knowing” of God and also growing.

Thank you for these posts. Seems we are all blessed with the same thought, as I planned to post the following!

There’s a Bible verse (Zeph. 3:17) in this week’s Lesson, which has given me much comfort, also a call to action! It is:

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice
over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

If this is what the ever-present and all-powerful God is doing, then I (and all of us), as His reflection, have the opportunity, authority, and privilege of doing the same! Today I will rejoice in the safety of God, I will rest in His love, and I will express my joy and gratitude to God and the world!
