“More faith”

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    “When we come to have more faith in the truth of being than we have in error, more faith in Spirit than in matter, more faith in living than in dying, more faith in God than in man, then no material suppositions can prevent us from healing the sick and destroying error.” (S&H 368:14-19)

    I love this statement in Science and Health. Last week’s L-S spoke of “unflinching faith in God,” where Webster defines “unflinching” as “never failing to undertake, perform or proceed; never shrinking; never withdrawing.” This is the “more faith” that is required in order to heal the sick and destroy error. It is absolute reliance and trust in Truth. This faith is from God only, and is a rock upon which to stand. I have witnessed this faith demonstrated in this church many times, and pray to God that I may express it also.
