Moving Forward

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I am very grateful to continue to move forward in my understanding and ability to live Christian Science.

Several months ago, I contracted to have 2 bathrooms remodeled and new tile put down in the foyer and main hallway of my home. The process of selecting a contractor and all of the decisions were guided by God. I knew this. The work was not completed satisfactorily and while I did not lose any money, I was very disappointed and disheartened that the outcome was not joyful and as I thought it should be. This has been weighing heavily on me for months. I couldn’t not understand why the outcome was not as I expected or anticipated God would have it be.

Today, I am able to realize that the work that was done successfully, demolition work on the two bathrooms and the removal of the old tile in the foyer and hallway was completed. This was the majority of the work that needed to be done. I am now able to release any additional work into God’s hands and know that when it needs to be done, it will be completed peacefully.

I feel a great sense of peace and gratitude which I know will manifest itself in many other areas of my life.

    With love,

    Debi
