None of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.” Psalm 34 : 22

“Desolate: Neglected; Solitary; without a companion; afflicted, joyless. Deserted of God; deprived of comfort.
Synonyms: discouragement, dishearten, lack of hope or promise.” Websters 1828 Dictionary

The Roundtable yesterday, Don’t Give In to Discouragement addressed the promise that “none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.” I am learning more and more this is an active trust that requires gratitude, focus on good, prayer, sticking with even the most basic Truth you know, immersing yourself in the Word of God, courage, standing for right, stopping negative thoughts and this is only a few tools we have been given in our classes and from our practitioners. This week’s Lesson is full of antidotes for discouragement and naturally flows from this class. Such a demonstration of God’s great care that He is communicating to us. Thank you Lesson writers and for our teachers!
