nothingness being punished?

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

In the infinity of Love, the consciousness of good, there could be nothing to punish. Jesus came to free us from any other consciousness but the One.
I pray to know that cells cannot become sick, evil, or malfunction, because all activity in the universe of Mind is harmonious, good, blessing, joyful, intelligent and purposeful. I felt to pray this over the world, shout it from the rooftops.

There is so much darkness and sickness going on in mortal mind, it is its own punishment.

‘What thou needest to know is that mortal mind has translated the body and its functions into matter, and immortal Mind gives back the original with its functions preserved and harmonious, but not as not in matter, but as and of Mind.’ (Calvin Frye)

From the intro of the Red Book, by Richard Oakes.

Water has three ways we can experience it, vapour, liquid, and solid. We tend to think of Spirit as vapour, and of the solid things as matter. What a joy it is to understand that Mind, -the thoughts of His heart-, is all, even if it looks like matter, or flesh.

I share this not to show off how advanced I am, because I am not, but I hope it does some good.
