O come, let us worship and bow down…

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Responsive Reading: Psalm 95
    6. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

Reading this today, it gave this feeling that we are told to bow not just out of reverence, but also to take our eyes away from the materiality and personality that might be humanly presenting itself around us. It gives us a moment to regroup and reclaim our full gratitude for God and His blessings.

When I coupled that with kneeling down, I remembered this article I read years ago about this professor who started taking pictures of grains of sand and found they were all beautiful and unique.

God’s creation is just so wonderful and filled with all the beauty and opportunity anyone could hope for! I am very thankful to Plainfield and my practitioner for helping me to have a more complete recognition of and thanksgiving for Truth, Life, and Love as each day go by. Thank you!

“There is an old legend taken from the Aquarian Gospel,
which tells of Jesus when he was seven years old. He was
telling the people who had gathered before his home, of a
dream. He said, “I had a dream, and in my dream I stood
before a sea, upon a sandy beach. The waves upon the sea
were high; a storm was raging on the deep. Someone
above gave me a wand. I took the wand and touched the
sand, and every grain of sand became a living thing; the
beach was all a mass of beauty and song.”
