Overcoming Fear of Falling

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

    Thanks to Cara from New Mexico for your testimony last Wednesday about overcoming fear of falling when your snowboarding instructor exclaimed, “Get over the idea that falling is a bad thing!” Your remarks were remarkable, and had the invitation to become as little children… to just pick ourselves up if we fall; to move on; and to not lose our joy of being. Maybe even laugh at the absurdity of the fall. While listening to your testimony, some fear inside me seemed to fall away – almost as if I heard a CLUNK! Some weight seemed to lift. I knew that I had been healed of something or other that I was not fully conscious of, and that had seemed to be hidden. I told your testimony to my sister, and she liked it, too. Thanks again!
